Houston... I have a problem! Maybe!! ;-)

Since migrating yesterday, my broadband hasnt 'felt' right.
Ive got good speed, around 15meg... but there seems to be a struggle to load pages and steam iplayer, you tube, and the likes, at times.
I ran a ping test, and got some worrying results, and I have a fair few errors showing on my router stats.

I just found a rather strange ticket!
Bearing in mind my migration happened, and completed yesterday.

Hi Devonian,
I wouldn't worry about that, it's just an anomaly in the way it was configured.

Thanks for the reply Jojo.
If thats the case, then you may want to close the ticket, because it seems it is being worked on as we speak because an update was added recently from an analyst!

Re: Houston... I have a problem! Maybe!! ;-)

Hi Devonian,
I think it may be because of the way there were some anomalies in your provision. Because your IP profile is 14000 on the BT systems and ours sets at 21000 as default this could have caused dropped packets resulting in those issues you were seeing. Ours would normally align with BTs profile but because of the way the account was set up, we weren't able to receive the report that sets the correct profile. I have now rectified this and you should see the difference in the next 15 minutes or so.

Re: Houston... I have a problem! Maybe!! ;-)

Thanks for the quick work!
I haven't rest the router incase it upsets the DLM, and I'm not sure if any changes you have made will work without a reset?
Im still getting problems streaming video, and loading pages, to be honest nothing seems to have changed my end.
I ran a couple of tests, from different sites, and got similar results from them all, I will post them below.
I dont seem able to run a test on the btspeedtester site, it tells me there is an error and to report it to my isp.

Re: Houston... I have a problem! Maybe!! ;-)

Mind you, I do seem to have had some what of an improvement in my service over night.
Video is streaming much better now, and Im getting a much lower ping.
So what ever you did Jojo, its working!
Cheers  Cheesy

Re: Houston... I have a problem! Maybe!! ;-)

The way the errors are being reported are truelly bizzare, they seem to be going sky high, then a few hours later dropping down again.
On a plus, Ive had zero disconnections since connecting to PlusNet, compaired to 2 or 3 a day with BT.
Im 5 days into the DLM and there hasen't been a single change to the line since connection, the router stats are pretty much identical still to day 1.
My upstream is still capped mind you.

Re: Houston... I have a problem! Maybe!! ;-)

You can't run a BT speed test because it's still not complete on the BT side.
