Re: Home move

No.
Every house move that you take a deferred contract on will mean that you will incur a cancellation charge of £40 if you leave within 12 months.
This is detailed here:

Re: Home move

OK, please proceed with my order then. Do I need to update the ticket?
Can you clarify one thing, after taking on this housemove, when would I be able to cancel without the cancellation charge? As I am forced to pay the activation charge upfront this time, does it mean I could cancel at anytime without the charge?
Thanks

Re: Home move

Hi,
Yes, that's essentially how it would work.

Re: Home move

Ok, thanks. So do I need to update any of the tickets or shall I just leave it with you to proceed?

Re: Home move

The cease is currently going through for completion on November 2nd.
Please do let me know when your new number has been activated and I'll get an order placed to supply broadband at your new address.

Re: Home move

I got a txt this morning from BT saying that it has been activated already, so we should be ready to go.

Re: Home move

Ah, thanks.
I'm not able to place an order just yet as the line isn't showing as active.  This is because it often takes BTs database 24-48 hours to reflect the changes that have been made.

Re: Home move

Thanks,
Let me know if you still have problems and I'll get on to BT.

Re: Home move

Can someone check on my ticket 23182835? It says that the line is still not active but it should have appeared on BT's database last night...
