Home Network Router Problem

I have 2 PC's and a Laptop on a Home Network. One PC is connected to the PlusNet Router by Ethernet. The other two are connected wirelessly. Suddenly, the two wireless computers cannot connect to the PlusNet router which does not show up in the list of available networks.
The Router is only a metre away from the machines.
Help would be appreciated.

try restarting the plusnet router.

Done that twice and rebooted both (wireless) computers, but no change.

Quickest solution is to get a pin of some sort and insert it in the tiny hole in the back of router for about 8 seconds to factory reset it, get the name of the wireless name and password and rescan and enter them on your 2 devices.
or to go step by step eliminating  as you go along you can start with these few things
is the wireless indicator on the plusnet router on? are you using the default wireless name and password? are you picking up signals from any new routers that you didnt before?  anyone else have access to the router settings maybe ask if they have changed anything.

Done that and I now have Plusnet back on all three machines showing "connected". Problem is I can't connect to the Internet and can't send any emails. All the lights on the router are on as normal.

Not sure what you mean by this. When I open Networks in each device Plusnet is listed and I can connect without any problem.

Which option did you do the pin hole? or the other.
Lets concentrate on the one device(Ethernet) remove the ethernet cable from the router and pc. power down your pc, insert the ethernet cables back in to pc and router and power on the pc.
Once your pc is loaded up fully go to your browser and see if your online.
what operating system is your pc?

Used pin hole.
Done that but still cannot connect to the Internet, even though it says connected. Tried Firefox and that just hung connecting. Chrome came up with an error message from Plusnet: Error occured while processing your request. Website team will investigate. Please try again later.

I am not familiar with vista. but should not be far off.
click start on desktop and type cmd and press enter
a small black window opens in here type "ipconfig" without quotes and press enter
right click the black window and select all then press enter on keyboard.
this copies the results to clipboard
then paste here the results.
i want to do this to find out if you have a lan ip address

Connection_specific DNS Suffix : lan
IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.64
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.254

so if your lights on the router are on, you have an ip address. then its prob your home setup.
in your netowork and sharing centre does it look anything like this

Looks exactly like that with one exception: Public Sharing is On but read only and password required.

Open that cmd window again and type the following
nslookup ntp.plus.net 192.168.1.254
then try
nslookup ntp.plus.net 212.159.6.9
