Re: High downstream SNR

Thanks for that, @Gandalf. I'll reserve judgement for a couple of days (just because I'm cautiousWink), and then mark this as fixed.

Re: High downstream SNR

@Gandalf "HELP"! That pinning didn't last long - back down to 3dB again this morning.Cry

NOW it's kicked me down to 8.9 Mb/s & upped the SNR to 12 CryCryTicked_off

Re: High downstream SNR

It looks like the target SNR is still at 6dB and within a 24 hour period the line is erroring every 5 seconds, so I think there's more of an underlying issue here, which needs to be further investigated. I'd report a fault to us at http://faults.plus.net giving us a nudge over here once you've completed it.

Re: High downstream SNR

Ok. @Gandalf - but RouterStats was definitely reporting 3.3 for the 15-20 minutes prior to the crash.

Re: High downstream SNR

It'd likely be reporting the SNR margin rather than the target.

Re: High downstream SNR

Correct - but it was reporting 5.8-6.1 all the time after you requested your suppliers to pin it yesterday.

To update re: the troubleshooter - that will have to be next week, I'm afraid, today and this weekend I don't have the time Sad. It's amazing how being retired means you have LESS time,Smiley

Re: High downstream SNR

No worries. Something's not right somewhere, so it definitely needs further investigation.

I'm happy to take that risk and retire tomorrow. Cheesy

Re: High downstream SNR

@Gandalf Sorry to post again, but I had another resync this morning - back up to 13.54Mb/s and down to 3.2/3.3SNR - graphs below:-

No worries.

Something does seem odd, let us know when you've raised the fault Smiley

Re: High downstream SNR

@Gandalf Not had time to look at raising a ticket yet, but just had a re-sync at 12.00 with the following result - note D/S SNR. This suggests to me that the pinning hasn't worked!

Re: High downstream SNR

Hi @jab1,

That's strange, as I can see that two generic ticket replies have come back through to us, but neither seem to be actual responses. Please can you try responding using another web browser or device?

Re: High downstream SNR

@TheMightyAJ Yup, I can see those 'responses' as well. The first was sent from my usual browser (firefox), and the second from my alternative (Pale Moon). The only other option I have is my iPad -  I'll try that in a while.
