Have you checked your PC for malware / spyware etc ? It could be something from your connection is triggering an IP ban.
Bit of a stab in the dark but worth a double check.

Which Asus router do you have by the way ? Have you double checked what the DNS settings are as they have recently been shown to have a vulnerability which can cause your websites to be redirected.

AVG should be fine - worth checking for malware with Malwarebytes though.
Also log onto your router and report back what is in the DNS settings please.

Router is RT-N66U
DNS setting - Connect to WAN DNS automatically.
The Router is plugged into a Cisco Modem.
Does this help anyway?

If it is set to automatic still it should be ok - they have been recently hacked so a different DNS lookup is performed and Google pages are redirected. It doesn't sound like yours has been affected and the tracerts look ok but worth keeping in mind if pages start randomly redirecting.

Re: Help - cant access certain sites plusnet support cant help

Can you download this program http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/dl/65/ and check the following:
Flush DNS
Report IE Proxy Settings
Reset IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
Reset FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer log
Could you then run Go, save the Result.txt (file will be in the same directory that the program is run) and attach the txt file here?
