Help - cant access certain sites plusnet support cant help

Noticed that some sites just dont load at home but load fine on my mobile or at work. For example www.cutility.co.uk or www.scanthing.com - just two examples. These are not massively hit sites but used to load. Tried usual reseting router and modem, changing DNS on my laptop but nothing. Any idea guys?

Do you have a static IP ? If so would there potentially be a reason for the sites you can't access to block you (i.e. have you annoyed a moderator on a forum or similar) ?
You may also want to have a check to see if your IP address is on a blacklist - some sites use the global blacklists to block potentially annoying IP addresses.

It looks very much like "ace data centers" have blocked your IP address (or range) for some reason - it could be related to those two sites, a different site hosted on their servers or due to a previous owner of your IP address misbehaving.
I block 2-3 IP addresses a day from my servers due to hacking attempts or noscript attacks etc from compromised machines.

I can see that your router has restarted recently, giving you a different IP address, has this resolved the issue for you?

Are you using a static IP?
You're not using a VPN or anything like that are you?

The site doesn't respond to pings/tracerts but a secure (https) page loads OK in my browser as https://transferwise.com/. I'm using Firefox 28.0 on Windows Vista 32-bit.

Dynamic IP - no VPN. In fact i have access to VPN software and through VPN it loads fine.
So I think from advice above and some research my I.P is causing the problem as its being blocked as it may be on some blacklists - I have zero idea why as I am not a spammer!
My address starts with 37.152.xxx.xxx . Can I force a refresh of my Dynamic IP or what else?

You can try disconnecting/reconnecting from your router to get a different IP address. See if that helps.

Tried before and didnt work but this time left it off for 20mins and hey presto got a new I.P. - so good for now.

It's probably worth flagging this up for the PN guys so they can look at the IP that was affected, as someone else will get it and could have the same problems you had.
