The DG834G v3 has a single broadband/internet light, according to the manual:

Yes, that is correct. My problem is being around when the problem occurs so that I can see what happens!

Here's a log of your connectivity over the past week as we see it, in case it helps you spot any patterns:

Re: Help Please - Regular Disconnections On Normally Stable Line

Thank you Adam, your log of disconnections matches mine. I can't see any pattern, they seem to be at random times of the day.
What do I do next? I'm unable to answer the "modem light" question on the fault checker as I've never been able to observe the modem when a disconnection has occurred.

Re: Help Please - Regular Disconnections On Normally Stable Line

Hi I'd go ahead and raise a fault anyway and when asked if the modem light is flashing go for no as it won't be pivotal on us being able to help with the issue and we appreciate not everyone can sit and look their router "in the eye" until waiting for something to change Smiley

Started to raise a fault but the trouble-shooter crashed after about the third question. When I refreshed the page it said that I had supplied all the information needed (see attached).

Embarrassed OOPS!
Not to panic though as the ticket has gone through to a "test errors pool" which is worked by our faults team.

Re: Help Please - Regular Disconnections On Normally Stable Line

I thought that this had been resolved by fixing my SNR at 6dB however my line has now reset itself back to 3dB. Please could someone take a look at my question #93341433 and check that the solution being suggested by the CSC analyst is the correct way to go.
Thanks - Bob.

Re: Help Please - Regular Disconnections On Normally Stable Line

Hi,
We can set the target SNR to 6db, which I'm hoping is what my colleague did. Unfortunately I don't have visibility of the what the order placed actually was, or what the reset was made to.

Re: Help Please - Regular Disconnections On Normally Stable Line

Thanks Tony, it's the line retraining bit that worries me. Left to its own devices, I would expect that my line will just set itself back to 3dB.

Hi,
I won't say it won't, but it shouldn't provided the correct characteristics were entered at the time it was submitted.

Re: Help Please - Regular Disconnections On Normally Stable Line

So just so I understand, why has it reset itself back to 3dB after being set to 6dB on the 11th and what will be different this time?
Bob.
