Only three weeks into my new broadband contract and I'm already up to 61.63gb!
Firslty, I'm worried they'll cut me off,is that the case?
Secondly,I've changed the password on my router in case I've been hacked somehow, although my router was showing as secured.
I am using my old BT Hub 4 instead of the supplied Plusnet router, could that have any effect?
All comments/advice welcome.

regarding usage - that isn't a problem - I am presently running at about 150GB per month and I am a relatively low user

I'm currently on 550GB and haven't been home since last Friday
I am also on ADSL.
If you are on an unlimited product then I certainly wouldn't worry about your usuage.

Mav - How do you use THAT much? . I don't think I've used half that in 12 months, but there's only me and I don't stream/game &c - I only use the laptop or iPad for information/help.

I watch/download lots of stuff in HD and UHD. Not easy to do when average speed is around 500MBps.
There's been a few who have posted that they use well over 1TB a month. It;s a bit like memory, the more you have the more you use it and the more you need

That explains it. I'm the exact opposite - watch very little and what I do watch is in SD on a non-smart TV. Can never find much I want to watch and have a short attention span. Even watching a football/rugby match usually means setting it to record and watching it in two distinct halves.

Thanks to all for your replies,I feel less worried now than I did! I guess it's watching streaming films in 1080p that does it.

Yeah as the others have mentioned there is nothing to worry about regarding this. If you are streaming films or programmes on Netflix, Youtube and other platforms like this in HD you will find the usage to be higher but because you are on an unlimited usage package there is nothing to worry about.
