Now then Poppy - be careful - I was in Yorkshire in 1973-74 - and Friday / Saturday nights we were either in York or Leeds.
The RAF airfields has liaison with the nursing homes in the area. One around Fulford, York  rings a few bells !

Neil Armstrong left sometime last autumn IIRC. He did say goodbye to us over on PUG.
I'm not sure when Carol left maybe the same time ?
