Have I switched over?

Morning all, I was due to be upgraded to 21CN today, but my internet went down yesterday at about 5pm.
When I logged in the morning my router gave the information below.
Given the max Bandwidth...has the switchover been made?
Also, given the line stats attenuation/noise e.t.c is this considered a strong connection and should i get near on 21mbs?
Link Information
Uptime: 0 days, 14:29:14
DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A
Maximum Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 888 / 21,592

Re: Have I switched over?

Yes, the DSL Type confirm that you are syncing using ADSL2+

Re: Have I switched over?

Hi Lutherboots.
Your line has transferred over to ADSL2+ today, your IP profile now needs to update and this should be completed by midnight. You will then see your increased speeds.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Re: Have I switched over?

Oh cool...will that do so automatically or will I have to restart the router?
Aslo, given the stats above, what sort of speeds could i expect after the bedding in time?
Cheers.

Your speeds should be 'not bad at all' Smiley

Re: Have I switched over?

You can check your speeds here. Your estimated line speed is 17MB/s. It will change automatically for you.
If for any reason you don't see the improvement, let me know and I'll get that sorted straight away.

Re: Have I switched over?

The line is now on ADS2+..
So why is the sync speed at only 8124?
At 15dB downstream attn' it should be much higher.
The downstream noise margin of 14 is also very high
So either the target margin has been set at 15 for some reason and this is restricting the sync
or it is being capped at 8124 for some reason
or both
(I've seen this 8124 figure mentioned before on these forums re ADSl2+.......)
A 15 d/s attn and 6 target margin should give a sync around the 20K+ region, an IP setting of around 17 as 'CP' says.
but that ain't going to be achieved with a sync of 8124

What is the difference between these 2 lines?

Re: Have I switched over?

I am still waiting for my IP profile to be updated and then the 10 day settling in period e.t.c...maybe thats why.
But I am not sure what both of the last two replies are on about???

Re: Have I switched over?

You will have a 10 day training period where you line will train itself.

This is showing what your profile is set to, that is why you haven't reached the higher speeds yet, it is still on the ADSL1 profile.

Re: Have I switched over?

Cool, you mentioned earlier that it will be done by midnight tonight so I'll keep an eye out for that.

Re: Have I switched over?

It looks suspiciously like its been provisioned on 21CN but capped to an ADSL1 profile ( i.e max 8124k ).

Re: Have I switched over?

Lucky you got it done. PN have screwed me over and mine has been delayed 2 weeks so it can be done with a mass upgrade.
