Re: Hardware Delivery and Delay - merged

Thanks for looking into this, but if the routers were despatched on Friday (and you only say they "should" have been) would they not normally have been delivered Saturday if sent by Royal Mail or, failing that, today?  My order status still says the hardware order is awaiting processing.
I asked for the order to be sent to me, rather than the service address, as it's for a member of my family who I know will struggle if I don't set up the router with the user name and password before he plugs it in.  There should have been plenty of time for me to do this and forward it to him before I go away for 2 weeks early on Thursday, but the delay means I am cutting this fine and I am reluctant to go out in case I miss the postman / courier, so please excuse me if I am getting a bit edgy about this.

Re: Hardware Delivery and Delay - merged

Hi dauphin,
I've checked up on this for you and the routers that weren't sent out on Friday will be sent out today (that's will, not should) and they will also be sent first class so should arrive tomorrow for you.
Sorry for the delay.

Re: Hardware Delivery and Delay - merged

Mine hasn't arrived yet - though I am assuming the delay is Royal Mail related.
If it doesn't show up for a while, would missing most/all of the 10 day line test period be likely to affect my ongoing download speeds?  Undecided

Re: Hardware Delivery and Delay - merged

Hi graffspider,
The router is down as being dispatched last night (about 10:20 or so) so it should be with you if not today then tomorrow, sorry for the delay. The connection should start training from the first time you connect so there shouldn't be any ill effects.

Re: Hardware Delivery and Delay - merged

Keeping my fingers crossed, still activating line with no hardware order having been made yet (apparently) and my service begins Thursday. Prove me wrong Plusnet!  Undecided

Hi flyboy78,
I can see the hardware was ordered this morning, that was an early call in! It should be with you tomorrow.

Not sure if i have the same problem or not. On order tracker mine says - Hardware delivery  The order has not yet been placed... My plusnet will be enabled on the 27th, so does that mean its on its way or?

Re: Hardware Delivery and Delay - merged

You'll all be pleased to know my router arrived at lunchtime. Setup was nice and easy - all sorted in 5 minutes before I had to go back to work.
Anything I should be doing or looking out for at first? What kind of download speeds should I reasonably expect during the line training period?
