I've been told that for the first 10 days, my broadband connection would not be 100% stable or working efficiently but... My latency on games is only getting worse, started off around 150ms which is not so good to begin with, now it's sitting at over 500ms. I left Virgin Media 50mb service due to poor latency and shocking pings. I hope it's not going to happen here.

Have you checked the status of your exchange? http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/
Could you post your router stats (sync speed, attenuation and noise margin) and the results from a BT speed test.
If you could also post a tracert to the server you are having problems with and one to www.bbc.co.uk please.
That should give us some idea of what's going on.

I'd ask for the interleaving to be turned off

Interleaving is not going to account for a latency starting at 150 and rising to 500! I don't think a drop from 500 to 480 by removing interleaving (if it as actually on in the first place) is going to over impress!
