Green connection led

After a session on the internet the green led continues to flash for a considerable time following a shut down of the computer (Wired connection)
Just curious as to why it does this as it would indicate something is continuing to download once the computer is off.

Re: Green connection led

Hi there,
I assume you mean a green LED on the router? The router manages the connection separately to the PC, that should just be the odd packet of data keeping the connection "alive" as needed.

Re: Green connection led

I've noticed the Ethernet and Internet lights continue to flash for a while after my PC is turned off. I put it down to a logged-in forum and router trying to contact the now non-responding PC before giving up. Nothing to be concerned about IMO.
