Appreciate that this isn't a glossary suggestion, but just so you know Strat...

Why not James. It was the second item I wasn't clear about and others may also be the same.

Re: Glossary suggestions

A bit quiet in here isn't it?  Have you stumbled across a word or phrase either on this site or another that you think we should explain in an 'easy-to-digest' way?

Re: Glossary suggestions

I don't see any point in having PPPoA and PPPoE, but can definitely see the value in talking about DSLAMs IP Profile's and Faceplates.

Re: Glossary suggestions

The distinction between the two along with the definition for ATM (along with references to PSTN) might help it stick on folks minds which they need to be choosing when configuring a router.

Re: Glossary suggestions

My confusion was due to the context. I tried looking for suitable expansions of the abbreviation and I dismissed Broadband Customer Reporting because the abbreviation was followed by the word report. I suppose it's a bit like "PIN number" being used when the N stands for number.
Thanks for clarifying.

Re: Glossary suggestions

That would be the Broadband Operations Team.
They look after orders for broadband (for new and existing customers who are moving) and home phone.
