Giganews problems

Is anyone else having probloems connecting to t he Giganews servers tonight? I cannot even get access to their website at www.giganews.com.

I can access the site albeit slow to load...probably due to graphic content.

I'm not having an issue from the office (trying to view the website, not connecting to their servers).
Is this still a problem?

Hi.
Just got home and, yes, the problem still persists.
Server not responding for News Groups and still cannot access their website.
I don't have problems with any other websites.
Any possible causes and solutions?

Is there some kind of block put on Giganews for my account?
It seems nowone else here is reporting problems and I can access giganews (albeit slowly) from my mother's PN account.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm.
There's shouldn't be and it wouldn't be possible for us to specifically apply a block to your account without specifically trying to (which we wouldn't have done).
I've not had any issues with Giganews recently (I use them too). I suppose that I could dial test from this end and try accessing the Giganews website when logged in as you to prove whether or not it's an issue at this end.

I've just tried the GigaNews "reverse lookup" tests (http://www.giganews.com/line_info.html)
I block no ports, PlusNet firewall is OFF, etc. I have a good line speed - in fact just peachy

I allow all ICMP traffic (including ping).

The traceroutes look normal if you were blocking ICMP. I can see that you're not though which would suggest a problem. I block ICMP on my connection so there's no use in me trying the reverse traceroute.
You're routed over part of Tiscali's core network because they are one of our transit providers.
What happens if you try to telnet to the Giganews server?

What I meant was can you browse to www.easynews.com as you're reporting that you can't get to www.giganews.com?

Nope, I cannot get to either site.
Have contacted giganews and there is no problem with my accout their end.

I'll turn it off at 16:30.
How long will you need it off for? I'll be out till maybe 19:00 - is that enough?
Also, other than the above issues my connection is fast an stable.
