Gift Card email

Hi folks,

I signed up via a link on moneysavingexpert.com which took me to the plus net website. The price quoted there included a gift card which made a good difference to the overall cost for a 2 year contract, and that’s what tipped me to plusnet.

I’m a bit confused about how the gift card works?

The MSE page said it would be emailed after activation (which happened on 2nd Jan) and I just want to check what I’m looking for so it doesn’t end up in spam or something.

Any help or info appreciated.

Sorry for the followup.  Couldn't figure out how to add images from my phone.

Fix

@alancfrancis

A warm welcome to the forums.

The sign up process / order details should advise that subsequent to the service being connected for 10 days, where applicable users will receive an email to claim their reward.  You mentioned joining via a referral service; third party rewards AND Plusnet rewards are mutually exclusive - you cannot have both.

Reward Cards and Cashback

You'll be sent an email to the address you gave when you signed up. You'll normally receive this within 10 working days of your service being activated. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder before contacting support.

You then need to follow the link in the email which remains valid for two months after being sent. You should get your reward within 60 days of receiving confirmation. If you've signed up for an offer which automatically redeems your reward, you'll receive it within 30 days of your service being activated. Your reward will be sent either by post or email.

See the Cashback and Gift Certificates FAQ for more information.

Re: Gift Card email

Hi @Townman ,

I guess I'll wait the ten days and see what happens 🙂

I'm not sure what "You mentioned joining via a referral service; third party rewards AND Plusnet rewards are mutually exclusive - you cannot have both." this means ?

Did you see the screenshot I posted?  I assumed that was something from plusnet, since as far as I know The moneysavingexpert website wasn't offering any particular incentive themselves (I wasn't signed up with them or anything, they don't know who I am), they were just saying the price they were showing took a plusnet gift card into account when averaging the changing prince over the whole 24 months.

Thanks for your time!

Alan

Re: Gift Card email

@Townman I just clicked on the same button on moneysavingexpert to see where it took me and it's the same page I landed on before with the same blurb.  It looks like it's now £140 for Fibre300.  When I signed up it was only £125, but I assume its the same thing.

It calls the gift card a "plusnet reward card" so I I think I just have to wait the two weeks.

Thanks for your help!
