Sorry if this is something you have already done, but have you run any tests on http://www.speedtester.bt.com/?
... and followed all the recommendations regarding using the master socket etc.

Re: Getting tired of these speeds now - could somebody please look into this?

Thanks for replying Theo - I have done a BT Speedtest  recently but I`ll do another one and post results.  As for the master socket I only have one socket in my house so the router is directly into that.

What product are you on?
Im getting awful speeds in the evening, and about half line speed at off peak.  Its been a sudden change that happened about 3 or 4 days ago, no definite answer as to what it is though.

@footys  its a bit of the wrong time of night to be asking these questions, Anotherone is someimes on - he is the expert,.  do you know what type of socket you have, does it have a removable lower half?  what have you got plugged into that socket,  A filter?  Phone? Sky you name it  I would think you should be getting about 3500 download speed

Re: Getting tired of these speeds now - could somebody please look into this?

Hi - I have a socket with phone on one side and adsl on the other so no need for a filter.  There is nothing else connected at all apart from the broadband and one phone and no other sockets in the flat.

Latest Speedtest -  http://www.speedtest.net/result/649619488.png
This is getting beyond a joke now - there seem to be a load of people on here with exactly the same speed problems - surely we havent all suddenly developed a fault?!

Have you actually raised a fault?
With throughput speeds that low on the BT speedtester, you're definitely below the FTR.  If your PN Profile appears correct, then there is either a fault, or your exchange backhaul is congested.

Re: Getting tired of these speeds now - could somebody please look into this?

I'm on broadband your way pro and am getting evening speeds of 0.1-0.2mbps and off peak speeds of 2mbps
I used to get 4.5 to 5mbps up until 3 days ago, my support ticket hasn't even been answered
Seriously PlusNet what is going on?
I've had seamless service for the whole 12 months I've been with you but can't go more than another day or so at this speeds.
I can't even do the BT Speedtester as it times out during it
Sad

@Footys, please complete the fault checker (I see you've started it).
@clarkec321, does changing gateways make any difference?
