Dear all,
I've had a plusnet ASDL broadband and an ASUS DSL-N55U router set-up for a long time now and never had any problems - until now, even though I haven't changed any settings. Over the last few days the internet connection has suffered from frequent disconnections. These occur intermittently, sometimes every few minutes and sometimes it's fine for an hour or two. The problem seems to be getting worse rather than better.
My settings are the standard Plusnet ones:
When it happens I get a 'failure to access" message on the internet browser:

The ASDL driver version: 3.16.18.1 and the firmware: 3.0.04.374_4422 (both up to date I think).
I've tried resetting the router, different cables, different splitters, and different sockets (including what I think is the master socket). The phone line is working fine - and the problem still occurs even when the phone is disconnected.
I'd really appreciate your ideas. My sister is staying this week to look after my daughter whilst I'm with my younger child in hospital and she needs the internet to do some work!

I had this for months, despite all tests and recommendations by PlusNet nothing helped. Due to constant and very angry mail from me eventually they sent a BT engineer to my home who discovered a fault at the local BT exchange - BUT it is now happening to my work connection, 1/2 mile away - and my daughter 3 miles away! I think they may have serious hardware issues!

@Peter1 It's certainly dropped a lot as shown below.
Our tests aren't showing any issues so I'd recommend raising a fault at https://faults.plus.net
