Frequent broadband disconnections

Hi.

Are you able to run a test on my line? I am seeing frequent disconnections recently and your system status shows no ongoing problems, so I think it is local to me. Looking at the router event log, I have been disconnected 10 times in the last 24 hours.

There is another line running to the property and the owner of that line has been having frequent disconnections too (they are on Sky not PN), but they don't seem to match up with mine.

Thanks.

Stu

Re: Frequent broadband disconnections

It has happened twice more in the half hour since posting this. Event log attached in case it helps.

Re: Frequent broadband disconnections

Hi @stume

I can see the drops on our side as well;

There certainly seems to be something wrong.

Having said his, our testing is not isolating any issues nor pointing towards to root cause of these drops.

Can you run through our troubleshooting guides here.

If that doesn't help, the next thing would be to rule your internal wiring out by plugging the connection into your test socket (which is under the faceplate of your master socket) and seeing if the drops stop.This rules out your internal wiring, face plates and extension sockets as being the cause of these drops. How to locate the test socket and set your connection into it can be found here

If the problem still persists, please can you raise a fault here and let us know once you have done this.

Thanks,

MoR
