It seems very odd to me that someone who works for a company supplying ADSL would want to beg old routers to try out!
In any case I'd always recommend that if a working router is replaced it is kept as a spare for emergencies or diagnostic purposes.

If anyone does not want their old router or they are going to chuck it out. I'd be more than welcome to have it, I will pay postage.
