My fixed IP has not been reachable for some hours ; any idea what would cause this ? And more importantly, how can it be fixed ?

The fixed IP is the one given to me by Plusnet for the £5 payment. Sorry but no idea what to call it other than my fixed IP.

What do you mean by it has not been reachable, you don't normally need to access it unless you are trying to gain access to your own router or PC from a remote location, so what is your problem?

The IP is used for a webcam which has always been reachable by anyone who know the address. Today it suddenly stopped connecting for everyone.

What do you get when you ask Google "Whats my IP" ?
Is it different to what you expect?
Have you reset your router?

Hi
According to Google and ipconfig my ip address was as it should be. On looking at the router port forwarding settings they had all been wiped clean ! I have now reset them and all is working OK.
Thanks to all who tried to help.
