Now had this router for (about) 2 months.
Some stats:
I mostly haven't noticed it. This is a GOOD thing as it means it is working as required.
I have had to update a couple of dns ip addresses via telnet to fix an updated pi install which changed the ip address. But other than that it has just sat there and doled out wifi and internet happily.
Apart from the log in issues on the web pages, it has been fine, port forwarding works and the odd time I have to jump g/w's it has been fine.
Speed has been pretty constant and no real issues have turned up.
If PN were to offer this in place of the 582 then there would be a few more happy customers, even as an "upgraded router" rather then the default one.
Graham still waiting for the promised "new firmware" to see if it fixes any problems on the current build.

Hi, thanks for the feedback on the 589v3. Much appreciated.
I'll check with Technicolor to see if they've got new generic firmware for it. We've not specified any firmware as yet.
Graham

Graham - are there any plans for a FTTP modem/router (with gigabit ethernet/wan and a/c or n wireless)? Something like this http://www.technicolor.com/en/solutions-services/connected-home/modems-gateways/fiber-modems-gateway...
