Fibre install question.

Hi
I signed up for PlusNet fibre today & have a question about the install.
Will the engineer need to visit my house to install fibre broadband OR is it all done at the cabinet?
I currently have O2 LLU & O2 home phone line.
Reason I ask is the BT phone socket in my house isn't very accessible unless I move the freezer so id like to know in advance if I need to shift it for them.
Cheers
Lee

Re: Fibre install question.

Hi Lee,
Yes, they will need to visit as they will replace the faceplate on your master socket, and then set up the fibre modem for you. It then means you don't need your ADSL filters anywhere else in your house any more.
Full info is in the FAQs: http://www.plus.net/home-broadband/faqs/fibre-optic-broadband/#installation-info

Re: Fibre install question.

When i had my fibre installed the engineer needed access to the house to fit a new face plate on the BT master socket

Re: Fibre install question.

Is there is more accessible location that the master socket could be moved to?
