Fibre Unlimited Speeds - New Install

I had Plusnet Fibre Unlimited yesterday.
Download speeds are only marginally better than previous ADSL at 9Mbs whilst upload is massively improved at 13 / 14 Mbs.
I'm hoping there is something wrong with the download speeds here?
SpeedTest:
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3266330186
The BT Line test gives similar results 9Mbs down / 11 Mbs up.
I'm currently using the supplied router:
Product Name: TG582n
Serial Number: CP13******
Software Release: 10.2.5.2
Software Variant: EO
Boot Loader Version: 1.0.5
Product Code: 3684778B
Board Name: DANT-T
The plusnet link in the FAQ gives this data:
Estimated line speed:
63Mb (Download speed could vary depending on line conditions. Estimates are the maximum speeds that your phone line can support. These speeds are dependent on the package you choose.) - Checked on 2014-01-01 00:56:23
Current line speed:
   9.7 Mb
It has pretty much been the same all of times of the day today, even after powering off both the modem and router?
Any ideas?
EDIT: The BT test gave me a link for a TAP3 test, but as far as I can figure out, there is no way to change the DSL username in the router admin to test it? Seems locked down?

Re: Fibre Unlimited Speeds - New Install

It looks like the Plusnet systems still have you on ADSL2+, perhaps they have yet to receive notification from BT that the fibre order is complete.
This might fix itself overnight, but if not one of the Digital Care Team staff should pick this up in the morning.

Hi RichJ,
Sorry about that - your account type's changed but your profile was stuck on 9700 for some reason. I've bumped that up to 61600 to match your current profile on BTs side, you may need to disconnect and reconnect via the router's interface to pick up the new speed but I hope it improves things for you?

Re: Fibre Unlimited Speeds - New Install

Sorted... a healthy 56Mbps will do for me...    Thanks!

I'll reboot the modem/router later just out of curiosity, but all sorted.

I wouldn't reboot anything for the first 10days whilst line in training mode. Leave it for a good 14days then reboot, you wouldn't want DLM to kick in  Smiley

Generally not a good idea to reboot if you don't have to, but there is no ten day training period with FTTC
