Re: Fibre Router

Looks like it should work, but reviews are poor.

Re: Fibre Router

I tried and tested a belkin wireless N vision router and had nothing but problems with it and always dropping the connection belkin routers personal i'd stay clear of them Netgear and Linksys routers ive found to be most reliable .

Re: Fibre Router

fwiw, I read DD-WRT can be installed onto the F7D4301 dual band cable router.  These can be bought cheaply on eBay.  I think the 4301 has 4 gigabit ports, unlike the F7D4302 model.
Recent Amazon US reviews mention DD-WRT:

ex-Plusnet (ADSL, FTTC) 2008-2023. now BT (FTTP) 2023-

How did you go with the BTHub 3? What do you have to do with it is there a propriety firmware you put in or does it need unlocking or something?

Re: Fibre Router

OShB5 - It's fine, get the odd disconnect maybe once a week which is fine, but performs better than the PN box where I'd be experienced multiple drops a day.

Re: Fibre Router

1. Product name: BT Home Hub
2. Serial number: (redacted)
3. Firmware version: Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.130.1.10 (Type A) Last updated 29/05/13
4. Board version: BT Hub 4A
5. ADSL uptime: 66 days, 07:46:17
Granted, this is a Hub 4, but performance on the Hub 3 I used previously was also very good.
