Fibre Optic, can i get it ?

Hi all, i would like to know if i can get the Fibre Optic service ?
my post code is MK45 1QH
if i cannot get it at the moment it would be nice if i could be notified when i can, can that be done ?

Thanks "meh" very helpful, i found out that Fibre Optic isnt yet available in my area, although i am pretty close to the exchange as it is and my current speed is fairly good
however judging by activity around "the" cabinets in recent months it perhaps wont be long

Hi timmytoad.
One tool you could use is samknows. This should give you a rough idea of when you can expect fibre on your exchange although this is based on information which is subject to change. If any delays occur the date reflected here can be pushed back.
Your exchange is here... http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/SMFK with a estimated date of 31 December 2012. (FTTC status: RFS date set : 31/12/2012)
We must stress this is not set in stone.

Hey this SamKnows web site, it mentions a WHITEBOX, is this a wind up ?, or is it genuine ? and when is it likely to be available ?.

Hi Timmytoad, I believe the whitebox is a device samknows and partners are developing together to monitor broadband connections and performance however I would not be able to tell you when this will be available. It looks like you can register to be kept informed through their website though.

If you are interested in this I would recommend registering your interest with Samknows directly.

My cabinet has was installed in late 2010
Just checked and it has moved from the 30th september to 30th december 2012
Just turn the thing on you usless funts
Anyone know why i have had a fibre cabinet for two years at the top of my street but no Fibre.
My exchange is enabled and people in my area have fibre.

Be aware that a whitebox will eat up about 2GB of your usage allowance!
