I had my fiber installed today but my download speed is only 8mb.
My upload has gone up to 16mb but I really wanted the faster download speed and it was previously between 4mb-6mb.
If it's only raising to 8mb I don't see why I'm paying the extra money for it?
Can someone please help.

Are you testing via a wired or wireless connection ?
Also can you post the test results from the BT Wholesale speed tester here ? :
http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
Also do the extended test and copy / paste the results editing out any personal details such as your telephone number

Hi there.
Your profile hadn't updated yet which was restricting your speeds.
I've just given that a kick for you so if you log into your router and disconnect then reconnect your PPP session you should see a improvement
Alternatively just reboot your router
Any further issues please let us know
