I have been having a problem with very slow internet browsing for the past couple of weeks.
For example, opening this forum page took well over a minute!!
However, my download speeds are fine and I can use the BBC Iplayer, youtube etc, no problem at all.
The problem is the same with both my pc's my laptop and even my iphone (via wifi)
My internet speed is typically just over 2mb as I am a few miles from the exchange.
I have tried several browsers to see if this makes any difference, but it does not.
I am even contemplating changing ISP to see if this is the problem!
Any ideas anyone?

A bit more information..
I have just tried a speed test on thinkbroadband.com as it has the option to swap ports
and the results are interesting.
Port 8095 1982 Kbps down 364 Kbps up
Port 80 899 Kbps down 70 Kbps up

Still no improvement with my problem.
I thought I had got it sorted last night. I tried a different router (an old Speedtouch) and everthing seemed to be ok.
The router stayed in sync (after a few minutes of dropping in and out) and my browsing speeds returned to normal.
I left Routerstats-lite running overnight and it appears the the old speedtouch router started dropping sync in the
early hours. In fact it has been dropping sync every few seconds for long periods of the day untill unplugging it this evening.
I have plugged my Speedtouch 585 v7 back in and it stays in sync but the rediculous browsing speeds have returned.
I do have problems with getting routers to sync on my line. I have tried 5 different routers and the 585 v7 is the only one that seems to work.
Here are some stats if they are of interest to anyone.
Uptime: 0 days, 1:21:05
DSL Type: G.992.1 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 3,296
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 0.00
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 11.5 / 19.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 25.0 / 45.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 19.0 / 14.0
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / TSTC
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 33 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 7 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 51 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 18 / 9,310,253
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 18 / 13
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 7 / 12
I may try yet another router, any suggestions anyone?
