[False Alarm] New Fibre Not Activated

BT engineer fitted this by 2pm today. Called up & was told the job had to be confirmed by the engineer after which the system is automated to activate the line. Thought I'd wait until after midnight anyway before looking into it - or rather asking if it could be looked into?
I get 'Authentication failure' on the router, shortly followed by 'Disconnected by user' - am using member centre login password
Have tried restarting router
Any pointers?
UPDATE: Scratch that, seems 3 is the magic number of restarts.
