FTTC speeds seem to be capped at 40/10 - should be 80/20

Perhaps I'm wrong, but although my IP profile is 52/20, I always get 39/9. My profile is supposed to be unlimited. That's what I pay for.
Or have I got something wrong? Before I raise a ticket. Or not. It's been like this since installation a few weeks ago.

Unlimited refers to the data transfer allowance and is nothing to do with speed!
Was that test run wired or wireless?

I think this depends on a number of things...
1. Did you sign up for the UNLIMITED Fibre service?  If no then you will be on 40/10, if yes then there is the possibility that you are incorrectly on 40/10, but see below.
2. What is your CURRENT SPEED as shown in the PN portal here - https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed - if this is below 40Mbps that could cause your line to be apparently configured as 40/10
3. There is a fault on the line - raise a fault report here - http://faults.plus.net
Your BTw speed test rather suggests that you are not on 40/10, so my money is on either (2) or (3) above.

Sorry - wired. All my LAN ports are 1Gbps.

Seems a bit strange this - BTW Speed Test looks like 80/20 provision, but the actual speed test results look like 40/10 provision.

Next door is on the BT package (same Cab) and they get 49/17.

As he previously had an IP Profile of 51Mbps there's definitely something wrong - fault needs to be raised as Chris suggested.
