My FTTC download speed was down by 25-40% this morning. I switched off both my modem & router for a few minutes & then switched them back on again, as previously advised by several folk in various threads on this excellent forum.
Lo & behold my speed is restored to all its former glory. But why has this happened?

Hi there,
We're not aware of anything in particular that could have caused that I'm afraid. Obviously do let us know if this starts to happen again as we'd be in a better position to investigate this if it were an ongoing issue.

Thanks Adam. I'm just curious that's all, I don't think that it's anything to do with a permanent fault or anything like that.
