COuld someone advise is the green lan light supposed to stay steady green on the bt modem or is is supposed to flash / blink like a mad thing.
it's doing a bit of both steady and mad techno speed flashing

That should just be that a lan connection is active with the router, my TG582n lan and Internet led have always flashed while I am actively online

Normally the lan light on the BT FTTC modem flashes about once or twice a second I am curious as to why it may go mad when no data is being requested.
when this happens my speeds have been down to 11Mbs instead of 28 to 30Mbps
