FTTC connection - ADSL speeds

So on a good day I get 30mbps down and 8mbps up and a latency of 26
Tonight I have 4mbps down, 7mbps up and latency of 33ms
I've rebooted my router several times, even power cycled the VDSL modem, no difference
No issues showing on the system status page either
Any ideas?

Re: FTTC connection - ADSL speeds

Looks like Plusnet can't cope at peak times!

Happy with the latency, best i've ever seen my connection, not so happy with the speed

Re: FTTC connection - ADSL speeds

Something major seems to have gone off tonight my connection is normally pretty much rock solid but tonight's almost unusable for HD streaming.

Just take a look at the "slow as snail" thread amongst others & weep!

Broadband service, or lack of

Now I know there is a current broadband service issue, but considering it was re-updated on the 15th, but then to say the next update wont be until the 21st.... do I really have to have an unusable service for another three days?

on a good day I get 28mbps down, 7mbps up and latency of 33ms-40ms
Broadband, brought to you by the letter P, for packet loss

Today we cannot surf the internet, watch any online streaming services or play any online games as we just lag out or completely rubber band or just get dropped from the games
This has been Diablo 3 EU servers, Origin UK/EU BF4 servers or EvE online
In 12 months I am yet to have a consistent and reliable service......

Re: Broadband service, or lack of

The only outstanding service issue that I can see is streaming from a few sites
This will not cause the problems you are seeing
I assume you raised a fault
I have merged this with your existing thread for continuity
See this even earlier one for background information http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,124167.msg1077792.html

Re: FTTC connection - ADSL speeds

I can't see an open Fault Ticket on your account, could you please visit http://faults.plus.net so that we can investigate this further and provide you with regular updates on the issue?

Re: FTTC connection - ADSL speeds

I am trying to raise a ticket, but it's a bit hard when the page keeps timing out
even the www.speedtest.net website refuses to load
I have managed to run a test here
http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/results.php?t=1400532906&v=22336263
I have finally managed to raise a ticket.....

Thank you alaxton, our Faults team can now investigate this and they'll provide an update on the ticket in the next 48-72 hours.

Re: FTTC connection - ADSL speeds

Hi, so out of interest (and I have updated my ticket), BT engineer came Friday morning, found and resolved fault, now have a line sync of 33mbit down and 7.5mbit up
However my line profile is still 20mbit down
How can this be reset to take advantage of the new sync rate?
Thanks

Re: FTTC connection - ADSL speeds

Hi there
I've just updated your profile on our end to match your current sync speed.
If you log into your router and disconnect then reconnect your PPP session the speeds should increase
Any further issues please let us know
If this post resolved your issue please click the 'This fixed my problem' button
