FTTC Unlimited Speed Issues

Hi,
I have been a Plusnet customer for a few weeks now on the unlimited fibre package. The install went fine and I sync at the full 80/20 with maximum attainable of 112/40.
However tonight I am experiencing extreme speed issues, webpages are struggling to load and speedtests are returning under 1Mb. I think its an issue with the gateways as a couple of people have been having issues on the forum and it looks like it was the gateway at fault.
I rebooted my router and I am now connected to pcl-ag06. Is there any issues with this gateway?
I am hoping this is just a blip rather than the beginning of a pattern.
Thanks,
Declan

Re: FTTC Unlimited Speed Issues

It's an issue that we're looking into, we're working with the vendors at the moment. I've just posted this in another thread:
Quote
OK, for those experiencing the issues we're working with the vendors and gathering data on the problem at the moment (hence it not being temporarily fixed again tonight).
So if you're having the issue, log in to your router and disconnect/reconnect until usertools.plus.net/@gateway shows that you're not on a PCL gateway and you should be good.

Re: FTTC Unlimited Speed Issues

Thanks Chris for taking the time to reply.
That's great the issue is being looked into and hopefully it gets resolved soon.
I will now try reconnecting and attempt to get off the alg gateways.
Thanks again,
Declan

Re: FTTC Unlimited Speed Issues

Hi,
I've now managed to reconnect to ptn-ag04 and I am still having these issues.
I am just going to leave it tonight as I imagine that the other gateways are now starting to see huge traffic jumps as everyone is trying to get on the ptn ones.
Hopefully all will be well tomorrow,
Declan

Still happening?
Can you do a traceroute to www.plus.net please and paste us the results.

Re: FTTC Unlimited Speed Issues

Things are speeding up slightly, can now get around 40Mbps which is around half the speed I got earlier today.
Here is the trace route, seems to hit high latency at the gateway and is fine after that.

Re: FTTC Unlimited Speed Issues

Issue seems to have resolved. Speeds are now back to full with me downloading at around 8.5Mb/s.
New traceroute added below showing current ping times.
