Re: FTTC Profile nudge

Still only getting around 12 meg ? When  i first got set up I was seeing 34 meg. Any reason for the drop?
Just done a BT speedtest, says its performing poorly and to contact ISP! Did it the other week and was getting a BT profile of 37815!
This Last Test comprises of two tests
1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Download Speed
10488 Kbps

0 Kbps 12674 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
> Download speedachieved during the test was - 10488 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 12000-12674 Kbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is -12674 Kbps
2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.
Upload Speed
1544 Kbps

0 Kbps 2000 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
>Upload speed achieved during the test was - 1544 Kbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 2000 Kbps
Your service was found to be performing poorly.
Please raise a fault with your service provider, stating that the BT Performance Tester tool indicates poor service throughput performance after the third test.

Re: FTTC Profile nudge

Hi Olifran,
I can see you've raised a fault, the dropping connections will definitely be causing the slowdowns. We'll get you some more information on that as soon as we can.

Re: FTTC Profile nudge

Hi thanks. Ive re booted the router twice. Once within the first ten days and once last night as the plus net fault checker told me too.
Also I'm not reporting any disconnections only a drop from 34mb to 12mb

Re: FTTC Profile nudge

Looking at your connection logs there have been a few I'm afraid:

Re: FTTC Profile nudge

It looks like the dropping connections have now been resolved however I've passed it back to the team to sort the slow speeds for you.

Re: FTTC Profile nudge

Great thanks. Did a speed test and back in the early to mid twenties at the mo.
Any idea what caused the disconnections ?

Glad to hear that's improved, do keep us posted.

We'd need to arrange an engineer visit to gather more information about that I'm afraid. I'd advise holding off with that unless the speeds deteriorate again or the disconnections increase (or both in a worst case scenario).
