Hi there,
You must have sensed something I just replied to your post on TBB about 3 mins ago asking for your account details. Wink

Openreach's working hours can vary from area to area.
I've just checked the order and can see the appointment has been confirmed for the 24th.

Re: FTTC Install Date

So, it probably down to cheaper unqualified, unprofessional subcontractor engineer then.

My own personal experience of a contracted engineer was definitely a positive one. The chap (from Quinns I believe) who installed my fibre was friendly, knowledgeable and got the job done on time.

Re: FTTC Install Date

Xmas eve (24th) is a normal working day for OR. Bank Holidays are 25/26th and 1st January.

Re: FTTC Install Date

If he lives in the South East then I would hazard a guess at no.
Last nights storm has taken out many trees which in turn have taken down phone and power cables (passed many on the way to and from work).

Re: FTTC Install Date

He had reply on forum that openreach had done it today but his speed was a let down. His upload speed and ping was fine except very poor download speed (below ADSL2+ speed) see here: http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/plusnet/t/4291187-re-i-have-decided-to-stay-rather-than-leave.html

Looks like the PlusNet profile hadn't been reset , Dave seems to have done it now http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,121692.0/topicseen.html
