FTTC IP Profiles

I have a BTW IP Profile of 77.44mbps.
I get real world download speeds of around 69-72mbps.
I'm not particularly unhappy with these speeds, I'm just wondering if some factor such as the  Plusnet IP profile or something is stopping me from realising the connection's full potential?

Were you connected over a wired or wireless connection when you measured those speeds?

For reference, I currently have a 75.05Mbs profile and a max achievable speed of 70.33 (according to the BTW test). I did manage to peak at 71.3Mb download speed via Speedtest earlier which is the fastest I think I've seen my line.
Downloading a 100Mb test file from Thinkbroadband results in a throughput of 7.9 - 8.2 Mega bytes per second (not bits !)
