FTTC Attainable rate v SNR

I find it interesting. The more SNR on downstream will increasing attainable rate. If you get less SNR on downstream then your attainable rate will be decreasing! The higher SNR is far better for maximum attainable rate.

The sync rate haven't been changed lately. No resync train yet.

..... but Im really surprised that after 8+yrs of hanging around adsl sites youve only just realised the relationship that SNR & SNR Margin has on your attainable speed be it actual sync speed or attainable rate.
Its one of the fundamental aspects of how adsl works. SNR stands for Signal to Noise Ratio.  The stronger your Signal and the less Noise - the faster your speeds will be. 
It now makes sense why I had to correct what you said last week about the attainable rate.. because I had wondered at the time, what on earth had inspired you to say what you did.
