FTP Upload = Very Very Slow

experiencing since quite few months - usually from 1 pm to 2 am - - basically the entire lenght of a human being internet life - very bad ftp upload speed and connectivity !
speed from 3/4 kb/sec - somentimes 6 or 7 with CONTINUOS !!! disconnections from ftp due to very weak connection are at the order of the day !
tested with different modems - routers - pc's - and differents ps accounts - without any difference.
very depressing !  Cry

Re: FTP Upload = Very Very Slow

Can I ask which server you are trying to upload to and the ftp upload program you are using.
I assume speed tests are fine at the times you have the problem
Can you post your router stats - attenuation, noise margin and speeds - with your problem the upload stats are important.
Finally are you sure that you or another user on your account doesn't have a P2P application running.

Re: FTP Upload = Very Very Slow

Good point - thanks.
I'd be interested to know if there's any other internet activity going on at the same time, which could impact upload speed.

Re: FTP Upload = Very Very Slow

James,
Is it possible to check the profile the OP is on.
I ask because what is being described is what would be expected from a BBYW product

Re: FTP Upload = Very Very Slow

Can be done, but we'd a ticket to be raised so that we can get networks to investigate it.

Re: FTP Upload = Very Very Slow

good evening !  Cheesy
thanks for bother about this issue !
to clarify the all story :
the problem occur between 12  (midday)  and 2 am
the problem is : upload ftp it is very very slow with many disconections
no other user use same account : this is my unlimited account - and also i do not use any p2p while uploading into the servers
i do not consider hardware fault or pc faults - simply becouse if i use the ftp between 2 am to about 12 midday  - it work OK ! the speed is normal

ok thanks - the table explain !
but let me say - often during the day external ftp speed is much lower than what the table show - around 100 kbps - 80  or so
this evening is good speed - - - - but yesterday evening at the same time i had nearly no speed at all !

Re: FTP Upload = Very Very Slow

It would be a good idea to raise a ticket as James suggests asking for a check on your profile as you are seeing very poor upload FTP speeds. Emphasize it is upload speeds and ask networks to check.
This is the link to start raising a ticket http://www.plus.net/wizard/index.html?supporta=helpnotice then click on Technical Support then click on Ask a Question (Raise a Ticket) as shown below
