I've been experiencing very slow broadband speeds over the last few days. I suspected a faulty filter due to an uncanceled echo (see below) but replaced it and the issue persisted. There are no other devices that could be possibly causing this so it might be a socket issue. Thought I'd run it by here first. Here are my results:
Modem stats:
Down Up
Rate: 288 kbs 445 kbs
Max Rate: 14925 kbs 1140 kbs
Noise Margin: 30.2 dB 27.6 dB
Attenuation: 20.2 dB 8.6 dB
Output Power: 9.3 dBm 11.5 dBm
Protocol: G.DMT2+ Annex A
Channel: Interleaved
DSLAM Vendor Information Country: {46336} Vendor: {IFTN} Specific: {48753 }
ATM PVC: 0/38
Rate Cap: 14925 kbs
Attenuation @ 300kHz: 20.2 dB
Uncanceled Echo: -2.4 dB Suspicious - check phone filters and alarm
VCXO Frequency Offset: -57.7 ppm Ok
Final Receive Gain: 23.8 dB Ok
Excessive Impulse Noise: 0 Ok

So what's going on here? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you have, get connected there and I'd like to run another test so I can compare the results to one I ran earlier for you.
Any noticeable difference should indicate if there's an issue with the socket.

Is it possible that a single faulty socket is causing problems, even if the router is connected to a different socket?
