I have already stated the internal wiring worked fine with previous supplier.

And as has been explained, there are several other factors which mean that comparing performance with a previous supplier is like comparing apples with oranges.

Re: Extension wiring

Not only that Barry, but until that post I thought we were talking about one extension, now I haven't a clue and I'm not going to waste any further time on it.
If he can't post the stats from the test socket, and answer the questions about line noise, when I will then give an opinion as to whether he has a line problem, then he can stew in his own juice. The information I've given him about extension wiring he can apply to as many damned extensions as he's got, I couldn't care how many there are.

I'm not doubting that. which is why I thought the suggestion of LLU? was a reasonable suggestion.

Re: Extension wiring

It's not a reasonable suggestion as I've already said, it just unnecessarily complicates the issue. The wiring problem exists whether you notice it or not. Prove you still have a problem at the Test socket. In other words Put Up or Shut Up.

I have already replied.
I have yet to reconnect the repaired line.

Re: Extension wiring

You still have a working Test socket, because your connection wouldn't work without it and you wouldn't be able to post.

Yes but the connection has dropped again, so it's not stable.

Re: Extension wiring

It's not just the trained rates that are of interest. Was the previous stats you posted from the Test socket?

That drop hasn't showed on our side, the last drop we saw was at 9.55am.

Re: Extension wiring

So you aren't losing sync, speed unchanged since you last stats.

That's stats you posted yesterday.
So if your PPP session is dropping as frequently as you seem to think, keep a log of your IP addresses before and after each "drop" that you see, then Plusnet can take a more detailed look.
Edit: Also keep a log of Which Gateway am I on
The drop just before 1000 could have been one of the two gateways that crashed http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive/1353321288.htm
