Existing BB Premier Option 1 and BBYW - swaping questions

I have just found out about the new packages that Plusnet now offer.
I am currently on BB Option 1 legacy £21.99
I just have a couple of questions:
Can you swap between BBYW as often as you like during the year?
For example - I may opt for BBYW £14.99 for a few months but if the peak usage is insufficient a I can upgrade, and vice a versa
Also is there any cost/charge associated with downgrading?
What is the overnight unlimited usage allowance time with BBYW?

Hi there,
(Let's see if I can get this in before Chris and Liam reply!).
There are no downgrade charges.
There is no set limit to overnight usage.
You can change your account type once a month.

Cheers James
So if I choose to place an order to downgrade will it kick in next month (my bill date is at the very end of the month)?

Did you not get the hint midnight to 8am off peak
instead of midnight to 4pm
You lose 8 hours off peak time per day with BBYW
Cancel it if you can?

I don't necessarily agree with that. Losing the hours of 8am-4pm is not an issue for many customers because they just don't use the internet at that time.

Quick question, how far in advance must the downgrade or upgrade been selected.
Ie is one day before your billing enough time to switch?

Re: Existing BB Premier Option 1 and BBYW - swaping questions

I've just downgraded from PlusNet Broadband Premier Option 1 to BBYW Option 3 change to take effect from my billing period on Aug 19th.
Hopefully the change in Peak Time hours will not prove to be too much of a problem with just surfing the net during these hours.  Any dowloading I'll have to do in the main betweem Midnight and 8am.
BTW if you decide to go ahead, make sure you are aware that you can have a new router for a £5.99 delivery charge by raising a ticket.

Re: Existing BB Premier Option 1 and BBYW - swaping questions

Why are people saying its a downgrade? It seems to me that you have an increased peak time allowance of up to 20GB compared to 13GB on Premier 1. You also have the advantage that you can go over this limit if you are willing to pay per extra GB over the 20GB allowance without the threat of your speed being reduced. You also get te period between midnight and 8.00am which does not count towards your allowance. It seems a pretty good deal to me or am I being naive?

Re: Existing BB Premier Option 1 and BBYW - swaping questions

The Peak Time hours on Broadband Premier are 4pm - midnight whereas on all BBYW products Peak Time is 8am - midnight.
Also on Premier I the peak time allowance is 20GB, it's only at 13 GB when light restrictions apply.
However I have to say I not sure whether the same restrictions are in force on BBYW Option 3.
Can we use our full 20GB without restrictions kicking in?
