Exchange Upgrade and speeds

Hi Plusnet.
In the past couple of weeks my exchange was upgraded to my delight, we are now on ADSL2+ and getting double the speeds. However i am wondering if my speeds should be higher. According to BT my line is capable of up to 21mg, however i havent really gone past 17 and the IP profile hasnt moved up at all, as you can see it has been stuck at 16.69 since the upgrade. It has been like this for possibly over a week now. I would appreciate any advice and help from Plusnet. This is a long shot but would an IP profile nudge in the right direction help?
Thanks as always, one loyal happy customer.  Cheesy

Re: Exchange Upgrade and speeds

Hi,
21Mb is pretty much the maximum achievable speed on the 21CN ADSL2+ service, on a perfect line in ideal conditions - I'm afraid that doesn't necessarily mean *your* line is capable of that, I believe that's stated on all BT speed tests? (I'll get shouted down if I'm wrong there in no time).
Your profile is at 18100 though which is definitely a good speed, if you're not seeing that try disconnecting and reconnecting via the router's interface (possibly powering the router off after disconnecting just to be sure) and see if things pick up a bit? Not sure you'd get much of a higher profile than that though.
If you could post your router stats in here we could have a look and advise further?

Re: Exchange Upgrade and speeds

Could you post the detailed router stats (including the attenuation and SN margin) please.
The IP profile will be 88.2% of the sync speed (bandwidth).

Re: Exchange Upgrade and speeds

Download all looks absolutely fine. Upload those figures confirm that you will see a huge increase in upload speed when it is uncapped.
