Ethernet and Wireless

Hello I'm new here and I'm very thick when it come to wireless internet  Huh I have recieved my router today and am still waiting for my broadband to be activated.  I was just wondering that when I get up and running can I use the router with the ethernet cable for my desktop PC and wireless for my laptop or does it have be one or the other for both.  I don't think my PC has a wireless setting and that is why I think I will have to use that with the ethernet cable for now but that will be no good if someone wants to use the laptop on wireless.  Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for any help  Smiley

Welcome to the forum Oggy. Smiley
You can use either or both at the same time....just make sure the wireless is secure with WPA.

Re: Ethernet and Wireless

Wireless on the Plusnet supplied router is WPA/WPA2 by default. The Wireless Key you need to connect your laptop will be given on a sticky label in the router box.
