Engineer came today, when can i expect broadband?

So the engineer came today to fiddle with the phone socket (bearing in mind i signed up on 25th july and thats when first payment was made)

I wasnt there but girlfriend was in, engineer said it should all be working now, but theres still no broadband? When can i expect it to start?

We had to get your phone line up and running before we could place your broadband order.

Unfortunately it appears there's a records issue which is preventing us from placing your order.

We've raised this with our suppliers and we'll update you as soon as we know more.

So how long is this going to take bearing in mind the first payment was taken on 25th july, almost 4 weeks ago
