Re: Engineer - No show-..

That's good - presumably as you spoke to him you've made sure he'll call at the right address this time?

Re: Engineer - No show-..

Yes I did. I explained the directions clearly.
And said I will be at the end of the same phone line in case he need to ring again... Wink

@abhijack
I can appreciate you might not be feeling too comfortable (bearing in mind previous issues) but the engineers can arrive at any time during the slot.
Without wanting to jinx it, I'd urge you to let me know at 1pm if the engineer hasn't arrived. I'd then be able to chase that up 1 hour after the slot time has elapsed at 2pm.

Re: Engineer - No show-..

Engineer arrived... He was from BTOR... Very friendly chap...
Setup a data extension kit for me to place the modem in a good place in living room near power sockets.
To my pleasant surprise he told me my line is able to support 128 Mbps and hence I should be getting close to the maximum speed of the package I pay for.
I tried to set up the router. It went on 'finsihing setup' after I entered my username and password. So I rang PN customer care and tech support  who spoke to the engineer who was patiently waiting as well. I was told that it can take a while in some cases and was suggested to keep checking every few hours.
Anyway I had to come to work. And will check whats happening when I get back home at 5 pm...
