Re: Engineer No Show?

@JamesU2002
I've just spoken with our suppliers and have provisionally booked a PM appointment for tomorrow.
I called and spoke with who I assume to be your partner and they said you'll let us know if you can't attend that.

Re: Engineer No Show?

Hi Adam,
This should be fine.
Do we know why they didn't turn up yesterday?

Re: Engineer No Show?

I'm still working to find that out, it seems to be related to the systems used to book engineers and not the engineers themselves.

Do bear in mind the timeslot is 1pm to 6pm for the engineer to arrive.
I'll be happy to jump on this again if there's any issues but there's still time for them to arrive in the booked slot.

Re: Engineer No Show?

I've checked the notes on the order the appointment for today is still due to go ahead and there's no notes to indicate any problems.
I'd advise giving us a call straight away after 7pm as per this post in the event that they don't arrive but I sincerely hope they do: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,112969.0.html

Re: Engineer No Show?

Has been installed apparently.
However, there's a line fault, so he's apparently coming back tomorrow.

Hi Plusnet,
Fibre was installed yesterday and works.
However, the BT engineer said there was a line fault (I believe it's outside rather than in the home), he said he'd come back between 8-10am today but nobody will be in.
Has BT informed you of this line fault Plusnet?
The engineer said we won't know my full possible speed until the line fault is fixed.
For my peace of mind is there anyway to track whether the line fault is fixed? Can Plusnet see the records?

No, nothing in the notes about a fault. I'm talking to BTW about this now.
EDIT:
I've confirmed that the engineer will need to come back today to do some work on your line. Its outside of your premises so they won't need you to be in.

Re: Engineer No Show?

Saturday would be fine.
BUT he said he was coming back today between 8-10AM, but as I said nobody will probably be in.
So it depends if all the work is external to the property? He may well have already been, but I just won't know it.
