Early activation

I wonder it would be possible to activate my broadband early?
I have a strong broadband sync.
I'm able to connect to BT_test_user both at startup and plusdsl.net
I was briefly able to resolve plus.net the other day.

I'm sure this is just plus net not authenticating my account as BT seem to have done their end of things.

try phoning to check - that will be quicker than waiting until tomorrow

I've enabled it for you, but if there are any problems we can't raise them until the order completes. Also, billing will start from today.

Thank you. All seems to be working fine.
Not sure why they couldn't do this when I called though. Unless something changed in the meantime.

No it's a common script when the activate early. Weeel we can do it but no guarantees and no support till the official activation day. And we will bill you.
Seems fair to me you are asking the system to be bent. And the agent might be in trouble if you then came back saying there's a fault!  Wink

I understand his reluctance bearing in mind the activation date wasn't for nearly a week, but at the end of the day, as long as you've been warned about billing and raising faults I don't have an issue with it (especially as it worked).
I think it's worth me sending a friendly reminder out to staff though, which is what I'm doing now.
