Why can't this be done in the rest of the UK?

 

How is Digital Scotland rising to the challenge?

We have already connected over 200,000 Scottish properties with EO lines to the fibre network by Spring 2016. By the time the Digital Scotland programme is completed at the end of March 2018, we will have brought fibre broadband to over 320,000 properties which originally had EO lines.

It is isn't it?  Some EO lines are being moved to cabinets and getting FTTC from what I've read.

i'm on an EO line so can't get fibre either and don't know when i will get it. According to this page, i'm in scope but don't expect that means i'll get fibre any time soon.
