Download speed

Just downloading Google Earth a 12.8Mb file. It is very slow to download and my speed is 3365, currently the download time remaining is 54minutes. My account is not being throttled.
Any one any ideas why it's so slow please?

Your download speed can also be affected by the server you're downloading from.  If it's busy or has a problem your speed will be affected.

Remote servers often have to share the bandwidth they have with 1000s of connections which means slowdowns will occur when it is very busy (i.e. lots of connections).
There can also be bottle necks between the remote server and you also causing slowdowns.
If a local speed test shows your connection is working normally then that proves it's not you.
